Zonar helps reset your immune system
We all wish to be healthy and have a high immunity. You probably know how unpleasant it is to get ill, and how hard it is to get back on your feet. You try all known remedies and available supplements to get your immunity back on track, ones have effect, others don't, and at some point, after trying so many things, you lose hope and give up. We give you back that lost hope, because Zonar MilkSerum contains lactoferrin, immunoglobulins and enzymes which will help you get you get your immunity back. To understand how Zonar acts upon your immunity, let's at first talk a bit about the immune system.
What is immunity and how does the immune system work?
In a very general sense, immunity is the capacity of the organism to defend itself from any virus, bacteria or toxin which violates the well functioning of the organism. The immune system identifies the agressor, it neutralizes and destroys it.
The immune system is composed of several elements, out of which white blood cells or leukocytes have the main role in maintaining an envyable immunity. Together with the leukocytes, the lymphatic system deals with cleanliness on the cellular level, having a crucial role in eliminating toxins. Side by side in the fight to maintain a high immunity is the antioxidant system, which is considered by some specialists as being an integral part of the immune system. Antioxidants have a special task, which is to maintain the integrity of the immune system by stabilizing free radicals or the destruction of free radicals which have become very reactive.
You've probably heard that antioxidants are good for the organism, but it is very important to find out what exactly they do and why their activity is indispensable, and to illustrate this, we will talk about the king of antioxidants in your body, glutathione.
Glutathione, the miracle antioxidant
It is important to find out that glutathione is the most important antioxidant at the intracellular level, and is sometimes surnamed "the protein of life" or "the miracle antioxidant". It is present in our body in two forms, but our attention is concentrated towards the reduced thiol form (GSH), which can be found on a cellular level in more than 98%.
Reduced glutathione is composed of three aminoacids: glycine, cysteine and glutamine. Glycine and glutamine can are present naturally in larger quantities in our body, the exception being cysteine. Without cysteine, the production of glutathione is not possible, generating a defficit, which determines a reduced functioning of the cells, and finally, their death (apoptosis).
The aspect that interests us the most is related to the fact that glutathione has an essential role in the activation of T lymphocytes and polymorphonuclear leukocytes, but also in the production of cytokines, thus ensuring a swift immunological response when the body is fighting viruses, infections etc.
What is the role of lactoferrin in the stimalation of Glutathione, an intra-cellular antioxidant?
We have talked so much about glutathione, that you're probably already wondering how Zonar can help you maintain a well balanced immune system, such that glutathione is maintained at an optimal level to do its job. Zonar contains cysteine, one of the 3 necessary aminoacids for glutathione production, but also lactoferrin, which stimulates glutathione production.
Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein which can be found in the whey protein, and has, among others, an antioxidant role. A study from 2003 proved that lactoferrin has an antioxidant effect upon erythrocytes, an effect which can take two forms:
- Influences the content and the activity of intracellular antioxidants, especially an increase of reduced glutathione content.
- Decreases the content of both effects of lipid peroxidase and hemolysis, in normal conditions, but also in the case of oxidative stress (situation which arises following an imbalance between the oxidative action of free radicals and the capacity of antioxidants to clean the body of toxins).
How does this surplus of IMMUNITY get produced at the level of the lymph?
Another very important aspect is that glutathione has a key role in the good functioning of lymphocytes, the cells which make up the lymph, a liquid which deals with the transport of nutritive substances and the reception of toxins at a cellular level.
Your immune system functions better when a specific level of glutathione exists in the interior of the lymphoid cells, and the smallest changes of this at the intracellular level affects the function of the lymphocytes. A study on 85 healthy persons, that were not being treated for anything, showed that the average intracellular glutathione level is 25.5 nmol/mg of protein. After this study, it has been discovered that the persons having an intermediary level of glutathione (20-30 nmol/mg of protein), have, on average, a significantly higher number of CD4+ T cells (a type of white blood cells that are very important for the immune system) than persons with a decreased or increased glutathione level. The results of this study show how sensitive the immune system is to glutathione defficit or excess.
Regardless of the way you choose to help your immune system, remember that Zonar MilkSerum contains cysteine and lactoferrin, necessary to maintain an optimal level of glutathione, so that all the processes involved in maintaining a high immunity can take part as they need to. Moreover, according to a study from 1994, whey protein, lactoferrin and multifermented whey are dietetic inhibitors of oxidative stress and it is recommended to be considered as a nutrient with medical potential for different illnesses and diseases.
